The Plasterers Forum® in 2012 supported myself and my good lady’s cycle trip from John O’Groats to Lands End and we raised over £3,000 for Help for Heroes.
This year The Plasterers Forum® and Plasterers News decided it was about time we did something else for charity and after posting on The Plasterers Forum® and seeing who the members would like to raise money for this year the Make-A-Wish Foundation® came up numerous times and after careful deliberation, I am proud to announce that will be supporting Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® is our new charity partner for 2014, and we will be supporting them through events, and a “donate now” button, and we will also be making donations from the sales of our merchandise.
Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® has granted over 8,000 wishes for more than 26 years, and with them has transformed lives.
There are currently 20,000 children and young people in the UK fighting a life-threatening condition. Make-A-Wish are aiming to grant over 1,000 wishes in 2014.
Having the memory of their child laughing and enjoying themselves whether it be meeting a celebrity or being a princess for the day the family can look back and remember this special time. These wishes help the children and families to build memories that they can treasure during the difficult times.
With the help Of The Plasterers Forum® and Plasterers News, we will be able to make a difference to a child and help them get the wish that they have dreamed of.
If you have any suggestions of a challenge for me or any other ways, we can raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation®, then please either email me or comment below.
