Leading insulation manufacturer, Isover, has been recognised as a ‘Top Employer 2013’, after parent company Saint-Gobain was awarded with the accolade by the CRF Institute. The research organisation, which identifies businesses with outstanding working practices, recognised Saint-Gobain and its companies for setting a precedent in working conditions and career opportunities.
As part of the institute’s detailed audit, Saint-Gobain and its companies were assessed against a number of criteria, including employee benefits and working conditions, career development, training and culture management.
“I am really pleased that this awards programme recognises the things that we do well and can be proud of,” said Peter Hindle MBE, general delegate for Saint-Gobain UK, Ireland and South Africa.
Sandra O’Connor, head of HR at Isover, continued: “We employ more than 150 people at Isover and are dedicated to supporting every individual in their development and wellbeing. The CRF Institute’s recognition of us as top employer underpins our commitment to creating a values-driven, sustainable business.”
Eleanor Nickerson, manager of UK operations for the CRF Institute, comments: “The economy has been tough for the UK during the last year, but we’ve consistently seen our ‘Top Employers’ showing that they value their talent by ensuring outstanding employee offerings are in place. We’ve also seen a shift towards more coaching, mentoring and training, as employers seek to develop employees and create attractive opportunities that are truly aligned with the culture of each company.”
